You can’t stop me, I’m going to FOWD!
Thats right. I’m going to London to attend future of web design tomorrow. To celebrate going to this awesome event, I launched my brand spankn’ new (re)design called Atlanta 2 Jamaica. More on that later…

Future of Web Design is probably the most anticipated conference to date! This will be my third conference I’ve attended and probably my last for the next 3 or so months (or the year) so I’m going out with a bang!
At FOWD, I’ll get a chance to meet an overwhelming amount of talented web designers under one roof that all share the same passion-designing. It’s going to be pure awesomeness. While I consider myself mainly a developer, I love the flexiblity of doing both, understanding the importance of both and being good at them. It’s all about the hybrids!
In fact, learning from my graphic design books after getting my design freak on encouraged me to (re)design my (re)design which is what you see now. Doesn’t it look sexy? After FOWD, I’ll go more in depth about Atlanta 2 Jamaica and talk about all its goodies.
Anyway back to FOWD… Once again, I have to say that without my awesome sister, this trip wouldn’t be possible, so shouts out to Maria! (She’s coming with me btw)
I’d also like to thank Ryan Carson for pulling in a favor for me and letting me buy a student ticket even though the conference was sold out! Why I waited until the last minute only god knows but I wasn’t sure if I could attend since it was on a weekday and I had to work plus school. Some freelance work had to get pushed back too (one got canceled) in order to make this trip happen but it was well worth it. I turned in my homework and did two quizzes in advance so school’s fine.
I’m looking forward on hearing Elliot Jay Stocks‘ speech/presentation on bringing print design to the web. He told us (Mike, Alain, and I) about the idea back at FOWA and from the sounds of it, if done correctly, could evolve into the next big design trend.
Information overload is probably going to be at it’s highest at FOWD so I made some adjustments on the way I take notes to get the most out of this conference.
So thats that for now. I’ve finally secured some business cards so that’ll make networking a lot smoother. If your going, and your reading this, well first of all, your awesome! Send me a quick email or twitter me so we can meet up!
